Jacqueline McKenna

Jacqueline McKenna has been dancing since the tender age of three years old! She told her mom she’d be a dancer then, and hasn’t looked back since. Jacqueline grew up dancing in her hometown of Calgary and received many scholarships and awards through competition. She studied at numerous studios and has also trained at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Intensive. Bitten hard by the dance bug, Jacqueline turned all her focus in life towards all things dance. She trained in RAD Ballet and completed up to her Advanced 2. She also trained in the ADAPT syllabus in both Tap and Jazz.

Before graduating high school she had been involved in several dance fashion shows and industrials. After graduating Jacqueline moved to Toronto, Ontario where she had been accepted to Ryerson University Theatre School for Dance. She obtained her BFA in The Performance of Dance with Honours in 2008. While at Ryerson Jacqueline performed in numerous shows including Ryerson Dances 2006, 2007 as well as Choreographic Works 2007, 2008 and New Voices 2008.

In 2007 Jacqueline was a dancer in the music video “1,2,3,4” by Feist from the album The Reminder, which was a huge hit after being featured in the Ipod Nano Commercial.

Before being called home to Calgary Jacqueline was in multiple industrial events including being a can can dancer in the Food and Wine Expo 2008. She was also in a variety show titled “Around the World in 80 Minutes” in 2009.

Now back in Calgary, Jacqueline is looking forward to completing her ADAPT teacher training in the summer of 2012. She is so happy to have found a dance family at Boundless Dance Studio. She is looking forward to sharing her passion for dance with all her students in the years to come.

Zumba starting again at Boundless! Tuesday Sept 28 to Nov 16 at 9:30 to 10:30am.
*weeks only $100. Register at studio during office hours by Sept 27th. Must have a minimum of 6 to run.

Boundless Dance Studio is so pleased with our summer activities that took us to Kelowna, BC for the Grand Championships. All dancers exceeded our expectations and so many trophies, awards and awesome memories were brought home with us!
